Summary:
A mysterious stranger leaves a baby girl with the sisters of Santo Spirito in Florence. A tiny silver key is the only clue to the child's identity. Rosa is raised by the nuns, but when she turns fifteen, she becomes governess in the household of an aristocrat and his strange wife.
